I started my career in the Hotel Okura Amsterdam in 2015 and became Head Sommelier of Yamazato and Sazanka in 2019. Here I found my love for sake and created an extensive sake list. I’m a huge fan of Yamahai and Kimoto sake and especially enjoy funky, expressive styles.

Alongside this, I teach Sake Sommelier courses, sell sake through online platforms, and provide sake tastings at locations for private and corporate events.

In 2023, I undertook and earned the Master Sake Sommelier qualification — the highest course offered by the Sake Sommelier Association — becoming one of the first 35 people in the world to earn the qualification and the first from The Netherlands.
